I will tell the dealer to get me on the allocation list for the 2027 Touring before I even get my 2025 Touring.

I don't think first units will arrive in the US until late 2027 early 2028. So long way to go. And things might change apparently.

Yes, I think there will be at least 3 years when we see the update.

Don't know, I liked Neue Klasse clean design direction, but current ones looks really good IMO.

Well at least we should get updated interior (we can already see cues of panoramic display on the dashboard), plus new front facia and updated rear lights, bumper.

Doesn't the image below suggest that they are moving the hood/fender line so that it is no longer visible in the side profile?

The rear of the car looks much better on the LCI. The panoramic heads-up display will also be a big plus.

Maybe I’ll give up my G 90 if they get rid of the hybrid engine :-)

Front end side profile lines remind of the outgoing Charger, with the camo at least.

Nope it’s staying. They’ve said that. But that they are using newer battery tech that is going to lighten things up

The end of a classic design is upon us 😞

I really hope the design grows on me over the next few years.

To my eye it makes the car look smaller than the current G90. If I didn’t know better I would have thought this is the upcoming neue klasse 3er.

Cool story and all.

But I'm perfectly fine with the current G90, which I'm considering adding to the garage. I only need BMW to add:
Soft Close Doors
More Interior Color Options
Less Plastic inside

That's a drastic change for an LCI, no?

likely more power... maybe some weight reduction from a newer lighter battery... sounds like this is needed

yeah imo this should've been how it released from the start, this is one of the biggest LCI I can remember. Seems closer to a whole new gen then a LCI

Well, per the future model thread the panoramic vision replacement of idrive is due March 2027 for the G60. That most likely coincides with the LCI and would run just over 3 years to EOP of the G60 in June 2030. Pretty standard run time for LCI.

Given the G90/G99 is based on the G60 I’d guess the timing is mostly the same. This says the LCI would arrive in the US by July/August 2027 if they run G90 same as G60.

Hello BMW here, thanks for your suggestions but we need to maximize shareholder value here so we'll be pulling some features and adding more plastic, hope you understand that we care... about our profits.

The charger lives on. Nice comparison!

Can’t wait to see pics of the Tesla interior!
