G90 hits 1242nm / 850bhp from a tuning box *Video*

BIMMERPOST
     Featured on BIMMERPOST.com
We take our G90 M5 on the dyno to see the results we get before and after installing a TDI tuning box. We were very surprised to see and feel the gains and the potentially the G90 M5 has after touching the surface with this easy to install modification.

How does it work?
The CRTD4 SENT TDI Tuning Box utilises advanced technology to optimise your engine's performance in real-time:
  1. Powerful Processor: The tuning box houses a powerful 80 MHz ARM microprocessor that analyses data from your engine's sensors.
  2. Optimised Fuelling: Based on this data, the box adjusts the engine's fuelling profile to increase power and torque.
  3. Enhanced Performance: You'll experience improved throttle response, smoother acceleration, and a more exhilarating driving experience

Gains:
Power Increase: +123 BHP
Torque Increase: +242 Nm / +178 FT LB

Results:
Torque: 1242nm / 916 ft lb
Power: 850bhp

We took some members of the AUTOID team out for some pulls to get their reactions

The only other semi-official thing he did in the video was a 0-60 Dragy comparison. 3.47 to 3.00 (with traction issues both times).

3 seconds 0-60 while loosing traction is insane!!!
That means with traction this is car is good for 2.5’s!

back in my day we had to polish the carb, port the valves, and balance the camshaft by hand just to get another 3 horsepower. you kids have it so easy nowadays.

Don't forget when cruising down the highway at an indicated 120 MPH ( actually about 110 MPH ) and having 1/2 the pedal left meant the car was good for 150 MPH! 🤣

6 months later…….. bent rods. We need to forge it. From my understanding this new engine still has similar internals or practically the same as the F90. Those were bending rods or blowing up at a certain power level. Heck they say my F10 can bend rods with stage 2 power levels

The f90 does not bend roads similar to f10
Also The power with the piggyback installed is equal to the stock f90 engine because g90 engine is detuned (so have a lot of room to go up with engine power)
Your only limitation is transmission (torque to transmission)

F90 still bends rod with stage 2 power levels especially the ethanol mix level. Plenty of these go-to forged build shops posting videos everyday.
