Is the body style/shape of the M5 boring?

I have yet to see one in person. I did see a I5 M60 today and was wondering if that has the same body shape. Anyway, just looking at videos of the M5...it looks a little boring and could be confused to any non-car person as a basic sedan. Am I wrong? I've heard in videos people say that seeing it in person makes a big difference. So just curious if it stands out a little more in person. I know the M5 has a history of being a sleeper car that looks similar to the other 5 series. But in the past the 5 series still was very distinguishable...now, with the G90, I'm not so sure. Thoughts?

It is basically the opposite and i think you are wrong on this one
The g90 m5 is bigger and has wide flares and much more special then regular 5 series and has more rear back space because of different wheele base opposite to the f90 m5 that it used to be confused with every other 5 series and it doesnt look special except from the interior

Oh ok. Hopefully I’ll be able to see one soon. I wouldn’t mind buying one but want to see it first.

It is much better in person than it is in most pictures and videos. Many of the features that look odd in pictures and videos are less odd in person. Many of the features that look underwhelming in pictures and videos look much better in person. It's hard to explain.

I've seen a few i5 M60 on the road and I think they look nice. They are an in between step from the base 5ers to the M5.

I found the car to be remarkably attractive in person. I found it to be more purposeful and elegant than I expected. It threads the needle - it is distinctive but not garish or foolish. I was ( and I guess still am ) a little worried about the design choice of leaving the lower scoop fully exposed. I'd have preferred to have seen some attractive grate-work on that one. Beyond that, however, it looks pretty good to me.

I'm real nervous about this. The pavement facing oil cooler on the F8x created issues for those owners. I have a Fall-Line oil cooler guard on my M2C to protect it. I'm not sure what everyone will be coming up with to protect the G90/G99 lower portion but I suspect over the long haul, we will see some unfortunate situations.

The oil coolers facing the ground are nothing to fear. Ive had that same set up on my 2021 E63, never 1 issue and i plow through snow banks and high snow drifts on unplowed streets in the morning and the occasional speed bump and curb. I do plan to put a grill on mine to prevent rabbits and my idiot friends from sticking their heads in the bumper

If you are into panning for gold or a rock collector the G90 is for you. Mine loves collecting tiny pebbles. I don't care too much, but I can see how it would bug some.
