..::PSI::.. - Storm Bay Metallic G90 M5 Gets the #BuiltbyPSI Treatment

BIMMERPOST
     Featured on BIMMERPOST.com

At this year's Bimmer Invasion in West Palm, we launched two of our newest #BuiltByPSI G9X M5 builds. This Storm Bay Metallic G90 came to us fresh out of its break-in period and ready for a transformation. After getting fully PPF’d and ceramic coated, it was time for some modifications.

We first used this vehicle to develop the PSI G9X Midpipe, before it received the first G9X Akrapovic exhaust released in the States. To fix the excessive wheel gap, we installed AST G90 M5 lowering springs and added a set of Vossen VPS-1 wheels.

[

Now for the aesthetics—every BMW in the U.S. suffers from horrible reflectors. Thanks to our friends at IND, we removed them and filled the area with color-matched front and rear painted reflector sets. To finish off the exterior, we added an Alpha N carbon three-piece splitter, Alpha N carbon rear diffuser, and the Alpha N carbon trunk spoiler.
To dress up the engine bay and add some intake noise, Eventuri sent us one of the first carbon intakes for the S68. Altogether, this is the perfect equation for a great-looking, great-driving daily driver.

Aerodynamics & Carbon Fiber Components:

Alpha N Carbon 3-Piece Front Splitter

Alpha N Carbon Rear Diffuser

Alpha N Carbon Trunk Spoiler

Paint & Protection:

Full Body PPF (Paint Protection Film)

Full Body Ceramic Coating

Lighting & Trim:

Painted Front Reflector Set

Painted Rear Reflector Set

Performance & Suspension:

Akrapovic G90 M5 Titanium Development Exhaust

Eventuri Carbon Intake

AST G90 M5 Lowering Springs

Wheels & Tires:

Vossen VPS-1 Wheels (Light Smoke) – 21” Front / 22” Rear

I remember “hyper silver” for BMW rims back in early 2000’s at least, I’m sure it was around even before that though.

It's just silver German wheel paint.....was standard silver used across most German auto manufacturers.

Wurth and Glasurit had similar formulations.

The special color back then was shadow chrome.

Really nice look'n sled! But check this,..unless you own one,...givent he number of M5s that have been sold by BMW over the years, you'd think one would see an M5 every day,..at every turn! Even in the big money-earning Northern VA area, I only see an M5 (...of any model year) about once every 6 months.

Hooray for the Legendary BMW ///M5!

I have the same observation too. I only see one, every now and then. Makes me feel good.
