Ignore feature for sub-forum

Sick of wading through the Off Topic nonsense when I hit "new posts". I come here to talk about BMWs, not to read juvenile meanderings in Off Topic (and particularly the Politics sub forum). Can we please get a feature to ignore a sub forum?

Thanks.

Seriously yo. Where are the moderators for this forum? There are like 15 Trump/Clinton threads up now and more popping up every day. It's getting super annoying. I don't mind the 2 main threads, but why in the hell do we need almost 20 of these threads clogging up the New Post feed?

I can help you...

vBulletin has a url hack feature that allows you to still use the "New Posts" feature, but exclude your selected subforums. You need to know the subforum number though, which is easy, by just hovering over the subforum's hyperlink, it displays the forum number.

Example: Off-topic hyperlink is http://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=4

Politics subforum is 56
Off topic subforum is 4

Now that you have that, if you want to get your new posts, but not see Politics, the url you use is (add the "exclude=[forumnumber]):
Code:
http://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/search.php?do=getnew&exclude=56
You can string forum numbers in teh exclude statement, and separate with commas. So, if you wanted to omit Sponsor Classified and Off Topic, use the following url:

http://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sea...&exclude=4,603

You're welcome.

How can anyone not want to follow the political forums with all the intelligent colorful commentary? I just don't understand.
