NEW RELEASE - Eventuri Carbon Fiber Intake System for G9x M5

BIMMERPOST
     Featured on BIMMERPOST.com

These are now available to order from our website:
G9x Eventuri Intake Gloss Finish
G9x Eventuri Intake Matte Finish

The G90/G99 M5 Eventuri intake system was developed to provide an optimised airflow path to the turbos while minimising heat soak to maximise performance. We designed a sealed system to prevent the intake from drawing in heated air but balanced this requirement with the advantages of a dual air feed to reduce the overall pressure drop. The ducts take air from the OEM feeds and also feature secondary openings strategically positioned near the bonnet shuts. These openings tap into a consistently cold region of the engine bay, providing an additional source of cool air. In addition, these secondary openings also enhance the audibility of the turbos spooling within the cabin, adding an immersive dimension to your driving experience.

At the heart of the Eventuri G9x M5 intake lies our patented Venturi filter housings. This signature design ensures laminar airflow as the air transitions towards the turbo inlets. By reducing turbulence and optimising the flow path, the turbos operate with lower wastegate duty cycles. The combined effect of the patented housings and the dual air feed ducts results in improved performance and sharper throttle response, translating to quicker acceleration and a more engaging connection with the road.

DYNO TESTING

This intake has been independently dyno tested by MSL Perfomance. Tests were done back to back against the stock airbox and several runs were taken with each configuration. We took the best results from the stock airbox and the best from the Eventuri system. The dyno results show a consistent gain throughout the RPM range which can be attributed to the turbos reaching peak boost earlier and with a lower wastegate duty cycle due to the higher efficiency of the intake system. This gain is despite the dyno cell temperatures being higher for the Eventuri tests. The performance gain translates on the road to increased part throttle and full throttle response with the car pulling much more eagerly to the redline.

Matching oversized Turbo Inlets are to be launched soon too...

Less to it. My guess is when you include the inlets it will be more.

Does anyone know if adding an intake will void powertrain warranty?

I really want one but had a powertrain issue from a tune in my f90 that was very close to needing a new engine, so little nervous doing anything with my g90 that’ll void warranty…for the time being.

Do a drop in filters. I bought bmc filters and you can feel the difference in throttle response plus a little increase in turbo noise, very little but its there.

It depends on your dealer, some dealers are friendly with mods and some are not.

it could cause certain dealers to interrogate you a bit, the real a-hole ones will try to use it against you but in the end they'd have to prove or at least have convincing real evidence that the intake caused the failure and BMW knows that a quality intake like this isn't causing their engine to grenade. I see you're in AUS so your laws will probably differ from the U.S regarding warranty coverage, worth looking into it.

I think mostly they would get suspicious of a tune after seeing the intake because they often go together (someone who mods engine adjacent hardware is more likely to tune along with it) and that's what would cause friction more so then the intake itself but your ECU would be clean so not a problem in the end. Worst case you have to get a lawyer to gently remind them of this stuff and they'll back off.

Eventuri reccomend cleaning the filters with compressed air every 5000km, during this inspect them and replace if necessary, but through regular cleaning they should not need to be replaced.

The filters themselves are ISO 5011 tested which is the same level an OEM filter would be tested to.

Technically any modification can void your warranty, our recommendation would be to remove the intake before taking your car to the dealer.

Impressive dyno plots - delta in area under the power and torque curves looks significant.

What’s the approximate %age delta btwn the stock and Eventuri ??
