Painting wheels at home?
I have access to paint booth through work and the painter is willing to do it on the side. I purchased a set of used ARC8's and dislike them in black. The price was right 1k for 18x9 square et 30 with Michelin pilot sport 4s and working tpms valves.
Now I just need to find a set of 18x8 or 18x8.5 for the front as the fronts stick out far too much. The seller didn't know they were square setup. Anyone in NE area want to swap two wheels? |

This question is probably better asked in one of the "topic" sections of this site.
In any case, let me throw out the idea of using Plasti-Dip on the rims instead of paint. I just bought a set of alloy rims for another vehicle last week that were painted in black Plasti-Dip. It peeled off in a few minutes, and the original rim faces were pristine thanks to the protection from the rubber. I'm actually considering spraying them in clear or light smoke Plasti-Dip before I install them, just as a protectant.....
