They've had a continuous loop (5 second) recorder for all monitored systems and cockpit voice in pick-up trucks for some time now. And wouldn't you know it, the last thing heard in most accidents is, "Hold my beer and watch this!" ; -)

Reports state Mercedes and BMW have a similar program, primarily for warranty claims...:iono:

F that. I don't mind continuous monitoring on company owned vehicles but private vehicles should not have any kind of continuous monitoring system. The black boxes in use now are ok as long as they activate when there is an accident.
