New Generation Iphone? ETA??
I've seen many photochops and vids regarding the new generation iPhone (iPhone Pro, iPhone Nano)... are these things true?? Does anyone have any knowledge on when these babies will come out? I'm planning to invest on one, but I don't want to be crying when I get the iPhone 3G and the new model comes out the next week

Personally, IF they do any update to it, it will most likely be software, which can be updated to any previous iPhone versions. There is no way they will come out with a totally new one in June. That would be 3 phones in 3 years, and people are going to stop buying because they will always be waiting for the "next" one. Also, there is no way they are going to make an iPhone Nano. It is hard enough to type on the current one (at least for me) and a smaller screen would just make it worse. Just get the 3G, it is a great phone, and enjoy it. Even if I am proved wrong and they do come out with a new phone, give it a year or so to work the bugs out, then upgrade from your 3G to it.

lol it looks like a nintendo with the gameboy styled navigation button and the "a" and "b" buttons. but i like the back, its about time it gets a flash and looks like it will have higher picture quality. i hope thats gonna be new back on the next gen iPhone but it better not be a slide phone with actual qwerty keypad buttons. the phone is thick enough.

there's no point to have a new iphone. it could use copy & paste, flash, and a video camera.

I would say the either will release an updated 3G (double the flash memory capacity) or they will release a new phone altogether. It makes sense for Apple to release a new one simply because people will buy because it is new. Think about all those who went out and bought a 3G even though their original iPhone was still working. Is the 3G much different? No, it's a bit faster and has GPS and slightly different styling, but people with the old phone still gobbled them up as well as many, many new customers. Why not make a slightly different iPhone every year? They'll make loads of cash. Just my opinion though.

you can check by going here:
http://store.apple.com/us/browse/hom...ne?mco=MTE2OTU but check out the fine print down below... "For non-qualified customers, including existing AT&T customers who want to upgrade from another phone or replace an iPhone 3G, the price with a new two-year agreement is $499 (8GB), $599 (16GB), or $699 (32GB)"

For everyone that wants to get the new iPhone but just bought theirs a few months to a year ago, you can go to www.flipswap.com and "recycle" your 3g and they'll pay you $200 give or take $20 bucks and that should get you to an out of pocket cost that matches the qualifying rates.
