Young well single bmw owners, whats your life like?

I'm 24, and there is practically no social life in long island. Especially because I moved here when I was 19. So not easy to meet new people. I'm thinking bout just moving closer to nyc.

So what are other young well off posters living like?

if you were so well off you could get an apt in the city but you don't need one just money for a hotel room and to go out once in a while, just not on li unless it's the summer. you could go to hofstra and pick up some girls. i think the prob is you not your location. college girls =low maint and relatively easy...

Define young? Some people think it's 30. Some think it's 18. It's all relative.

I'm 23 and I had the same problem a couple years ago. What I did was rent the remaining two rooms out in the townhouse I'm living in. I chose to rent them out to college students. I mean I finished not too long ago. I leaned more towards sophmore and up and no girls. I couldnt deal with the drama. These two roommates are polar opposites but we go out quite often. It does suck wearing two hats though(friend and landlord). It is nice covering 2/3 of my mortgage.

Yes the problem is me. I'm not interested in messing with 'low maintenance' college girls from hofstra. I hope you meant that as a joke, but I doubt since that's what most people think is a social life.

I'd like to meet young and those are successful in their own right. Motivated people who don't think a night of fun is to get shit faced and dance.

I'm in eastern suffolk, and its pretty dead. Also as far as young, under 35 I would think.

So you just hang out with your roommates now? Given that you are the landlord and smart enough to rent it out, I assume your somewhat business minded. Are you into Real estate or just on the side?

Yeah, I hang out with my roomies and their friends. Its kinda awkward at times. Sometimes their friends are cooler with me than they're with my roomies. I dont mean for it to happen..lol

I've owned a small business for a year and half now so I guess I am business-minded. My parents are very big in real estate. Later on in life if/when I have the resources I'll get my hands dirty with it. Paying off my townhouse by 30 is my main priority though. I shouldve waited since they're going for 80k cheaper right now. Thus, is life. As scary as it sounds, I enjoy having a bunch of things going on at once. I'm finishing up a couple courses at the univ too.

I'm kinda in a similar spot as the OP. I am trying to get into medical school. On top of trying to get into medical school, It's is SO hard trying to balance that and having/getting a girlfriend, job, good college grades, etc.

I am so fortunate to have parents who understand all of this and try to help me out in any way possible, though.

People from Long Island are NOT friendly. I've been living here my whole life. It sucks, but true.

I'm 23 and I'm pretty 'mature' for my age or boring, depending on how you look at it. I'll go out once every a couple of weeks or so. I grew out of the club scene that a lot of kids my age are still into. When I go out, I'll just hang out with my boys that I know from way back.

I find it pretty relaxing to just hit the gym for a couple of hours at night and come home to read.

It's hard for me to find a girl that interests me because again, most girls my age are still quite immature. If I find her..cool, but I'm in no rush. Right now I'm more focused on getting my degrees and career.

I'm 22 and I work hard during the week but I play hard on the weekend lol.

Its on you really. When I was 18, I went through a transition in my social life. I know how to network with all sorts of people and through my different hobbies and jobs it has become a necessity to have those skills.

As for LI, my friend's family has a second home out there... Theres lots there just gotta know what u want out of your "free time".

I'm a jack of all trades, I always manage to have hobbies and other shit to do. My career puts me into situations where I have created my own ways to even entertain myself
