between the different drivers and different track conditions each time I'm not sure I put much weight behind their track times
I wouldn't buy an EVO if they were 20 grand, much less 35 |

I never could understand the meaning behind the foreign female voice interjections (and the weird humor) that accompany the race car driver shots.

I read on here somewhere that there were 2 different "stig"s and I've seen the show, and the track can be sunny, dry, a swamp..... and all they put is (wet) if they did the test lape back to back then we'd have something |

There are two different stigs... the new stig has been around since 2003 I believe... Obviously its hard to do a back to back test for what is probably close to 75 cars, and introducing new ones each week... |

Im sure the next few will be quite interesting... I like the 'mini projects' they did in the last few... They are entertaining, but it must be that they are running out of ideas and cars to test... |

oh thats not just any EVO my friend. its the EVO VIII MR FQ 520. its a highly modded version of the EVO for sale in europe. if i recall the FQ stands for fuckhin quick (no seriously) and the 520 is the hp. pretty impressive feat tieing with the two others cars that have a couple of hundred more hp. (m5 and the EVO FQ).

If it's what I think you're referring to; it's a weekly gag they've got going where the stig is learning new languages while he drives.. i think he's still learning italian. havn't seen the newest ep. yet; but in all of the season 8 episodes, that's what's playing in the background while he tears around the track.

As a Brit I totally 'get it' but I have watched it with american friends who miss a lot of the jokes. To me it is one of the best shows on TV and can't wait to see how the Discovery Channel totally misses the point and screws up the US version. Here - Stig has his own wikipedia page where all is explained: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Stig Also, these shows (and the rival 'Fifth Gear') are ripped and slapped up on the web the day they air. The best place to start is www.finalgear.com
