The BMW does not look even remotely like all the other pshop speculations
I hope BMW does not get suckered into making one of those. The r class is far from a sales success for MB and BMW would have an even tougher marketing case to make (MB can sell pure luxury and comfort- BMW needs to justify a performance sporty angle) |

I do see quite a few R-Classes as well in NYC; however, MB splits development cost with the Chrysler Pacifica, (which basically gives you an MB without the cost of the MB badge, or probably more specifically, you overpay for the MB badge on a chrysler)
I rather not see such brand dillution with BMW. |

sales is below expectations right now for the R Class but it's picking up...at least in south orange county. People seem to be buying these in lieu of their SUV's
