BMW 535d in the states

I will be driving a 535d sedan, tonight. I work at a radio station, and a client brought one by for us to drive. It's sitting in the parking lot, right now. It has the clear euro headlights, and looks sweet!

Once you've felt that massive torque (almost double the 330i & available much lower down), you'll never want to drive a gas powered car again. ENJOY

Well maybe not

- I'm going from a 530d (500nm) to a 330i (300nm) and I test drove the 535d as well)

The torque is a beautiful thing and the 535d is the faster car, but it has an AUTOMATIC gearbox (for good reason as a manual one would implode)

Thanks! I felt a lot of vibration when I started the car up, and at a stand still. It's got some good pep. It's hard to tell exactly how it differs from my car because my car is manual. It does feel quite a bit faster, though. I will drive it more today, and try to take some pictures.

535d stock is a great and fast cruiser. But my 330i 6MT is a bit faster thru gears and bends

0-200kmh 330i 6MT:22.5s
0-200kmh 535d Aut:24,8s

(as tested in a Dutch carmag FWIW)

I hate the autobox

This was a fun car to drive. Many similarities to my 330xi. It feels faster, but it's hard to tell for sure. It was raining today, and I really noticed the difference between all wheel drive and rear wheel drive. Good on gas, too. Here are some pictures...

They are VERY close.

535d is definitely quicker than a 530i and is very nearly as quick as a 545i

Yep. After, I got back in my 330xi, it felt sluggish compared to the 535d.
