They're probably the same as for North, West, and Central Florida. Gun laws are not regional within a state.
BTW, if you're under 21, don't even think about trying to purchase a handgun. |

are their any special cases? like a course or permit or anything of that sort for an 18 yr old to take? you need to understand that i live in South Florida and things aren't what you may call safe. especially when like 90% of the population has a gun.

I grew up in South Florida. 90% of the population does not have a gun and most of South Florida is completely safe. Stop hanging out in Oakland Park and Miramar and/or engaging in unlawful activity.

My mom lives in a gated community and in HS my car was broken into in my drive way. It happens. You're under 21. You can't own a handgun. There's nothing you can do about it.

When I turned 18, I picked up a Remington 12 gauge Super Magnum. More than I need!

kid, you're 18 y/o and surely you have other things to worry about. i'm a miami-based LEO. the majority of 18 y/o lack the maturity to carry a firearm. besides you're not old enough to carry. don't go to jail on some stupid shit.

Here ya go (there is a newer version just released). You can pick it up much cheaper in your local gun shop for around $25. http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listi...1819775&sr=1-1

I live in Southwest Florida currently and it is fairly well armed. Many people here have their concealed weapons permit and carry their weapon on their person/car. I think having law abiding citizens armed makes for a safer community.

If you want a weapon to protect your home, skip the handgun. 12ga pump action shotgun is far more effective.

Wow FL gun laws are tight. AZ has the loosest gun laws.
21 to purchase a handgun, 18 to purchase rifle/shotgun 18 to carry a handgun. So basically it can be gifted to you and then you can tote it around. Open carry of course. Concealed for anything has to be 21. You can shoot someone if he has a knife pointed at you, shit like that. |

What they'll teach you in your concealed carry license is that you should ONLY pull out your gun when it's a life or death type situation. You don't pull the gun out unless you're actually going to fire it. It's not a tooll you use to scare people, or get them to go away by waving it around in the air.. So many people use guns as their fall-back protection when they can't think of another way to solve it.
