Just curious...

Hey all...

I can't seem to find an answer anywhere...

Why is (riced out + old) honda/toyota so loud?

In my neighborhood... there is this riced out toyota...

I could hear him from mile away... and whenever he starts

his car... the ground shakes

I checked out his car and it seems like he even has a muffler on it...

Its so disturbing that I can hear him in parking lot from my apt

Really... Whats wrong with those car!!!

Kids today seem to equate decibels with power.

Yesterday at the BK drivethrough, I had some ricer supra behind me being a jack@ss revving his motor trying to show off. Bones stock with body kits to boot, (I know cause the dealership is about 500 meters from my house). I told the BK teller that I could have bought 2 of those for the price of Mine.

To answer the question, they've screwed with the exhaust. All vehicles sound like that in their natural state, but have the good sense to wear a muffler. The give away is generally a tail pipe tip (or two) in excess of 5 inches in diameter.

I still see some Supras go for around $45g to $50g's. They are such amazing cars.

Loud Fart Cans = Stupid Ricers.

Bottom line, is that ricers crave attention, so they buy the loudest freaking exhaust on the market, so they can let everyone know that they are arriving.

I wouldn't put the muffler delete anywhere near a folgers can muffler, but nonetheless it's a sound modification. So yes, you are correct.

Then you race them, and you let them know you are leaving

If muffler delete is that loud i would have welded the muffler back right away.
Now its a bad thing to even provide a sound clip on the webboard.
lol.... I'm curious cuz I read about how muffler delete should be loudest
"exhaust" (but i'd say its not obnoxiously loud compared to those riced out
car even with muffler on)... and I did muffler delete because I have limited budget...

You think your neighbor's exhaust is nasty, have you ever stop to think that your exhaust sound is annoying him?
