Hate the rims, hate the pink/red detailing, don't particularly like the seats. But I love the output and performance. All this in a Q5.

This is Audi's answer to the X5M.

hmm, down 150 hp and will probably cost more than the X5M in North America.

What gets interesting is if the drop that engine into the new S4. And price it in between the 335 and M3.

What is it with Audi? Can't they figure out how to do something visually interesting with their models when they tweek the performance? The S and RS versions look practically identical to the plain vanilla versions. All they did here was put some lipstick and f-me shoes on.

another overpriced, overpowered, overweight, oversized POS. but hey, at least it has lane change assistant. anyone who would spend any dough on that piece is dumb enough to need help changing lanes.

I would agree that the S model looks little different to an S-Line but the same is true for an M-Sport and an M model. The thing I think you are off your trolley with is to believe an RS model looks like the rest, sorry mate but I am yet to see a normal Audi with either wheel arches of the RS4 or RS6. You also can't get normal Audis with Recaro buckets.

All manufacturers seen a way of getting a quick buck from bodykits but in doing so diluted their highest performance versions, with the possibly exception being the RS. This might explain why they retain more of their value secondhand.

Not a fan of the look in any way.

Saw my second Q5 today. The front looks nice, in an Audi-is-an-Audi-is-an-Audi sorta way, but the back looked awful. I'd like to see something a little more creative, and by creative I don't mean having dashes of orange on the body.

The performance sounds good.

It's funny because I think the A4 with this engine would be much greater than the 335i/S4 level but not quite M3/RS4 level. It would be amazing actually, but as an S4, what would the RS4 and RS5 have to be!?

Speaking of, there wont be an RS4 according to some people. The RS5 is certain though.

In the states the only RS I've ever seen are RS4s and given the whopping huge cost, they never struck me as being much different externally to the A4 except for the wider wheels. Some people say they like the fact that it's a stealth car, but I'd expect more for that much money. By comparison you can't really confuse an M for a non M. BMW makes the Ms look more aggressive than the base models. This Q5 just looks like Audi is actually mocking the idea that the performance version should look different.

With this engine in the S4, I'd expect the RS5 to be a crazy Supercharged V8

Is it just me or am I missing the huge differences here between the M/Sport and the true M model?

Now tell me truthfully, which likes the more like the real deal, is it the M/Sport or the S/Line?

Lol....I think both the respective companies packages are equally strong.

I completely agree with you, both packages are good and to be perfectly honest the M/Sport pack looks the better but ptack's comments 'By comparison you can't really confuse an M for a non M.' is complete BS, at least in the UK because almost all BMW I ever see are M/Sport models and seldom see a base model. The truth is that the M/Sport IS closer to an M because there is nothing unique, unlike the RS model which in the case of the RS6 is the squared off arches. You simply couldn't possibly mistake an RS6 for anything else unless you were a complete dick.

Lol yeah, I agree. Comparing the 3 and 5 Msports to their M versions shows they are quite similar. I think that's why BMW felt the need to make such a huge powerdome and large sidevents on the M3 etc.
