anyone have a root canal or dental crown?

I have to get a dental crown done on a tooth that had a root canal. Anyone ever have one or both of these done?

I recently had a root canal done and when going in for a crown, they doc told me my tooth was probably cracked so he wouldnt do the crown!!! I'm going to go back to the guy who did the root canal and bitch him out

That's kind of strange. I think a reputable dentist would just build the tooth back up and put a crown on it. Usually even with a cracked tooth that's what they do anyways.

My sister recently even had a worse situation where part of the drill broke off during the root canal. She experienced severe pain and swelling for days and then found out what happened. She had to have it redone again because of this bonehead mistake.
