Talk me out of buying another S2K

I was looking on S2Ki, and the prices are incredible. The temptation to sell the 1er and pick up a clean S4 and an S2K as a weekend car is huge. I need to go do a 30-130 pull and get some TC Kline COs immediately...

What kinda prices are the norm right now? In the summer nights, I still want a white AP2 with red interior.

Low-mid teens for a low miles AP2. Low 20/high teens for a basically brand new car with stability control.

I LOVED my Suzuka Blue AP2, more fun than my Boxster S.

Vtec yo....

I dont have any experience with a S2k but I do want to add that you have a great car right now.

And do you want to use a B7 S4 as a daily driver? I dunno man....it's a great car but it seems wrong to have a gas guzzler right now....+ the oil prices are on the rise.

In my opinion, you should just stick to your 135i and save for something new later in the year.

Sorry bud, I cannot and will not help you.

I miss my S2000 every day. As a matter of fact I may be buying my 3rd one this week. I had a 2000 I bought new, a 2004 I bought used. I should be able to get a 2009 for mid/high 20's. I may trade my 135i for that and a Fit for winter use.

I will miss the torque, but I miss a good handling car so much...and dropping the top on these nice summer days is awesome.

See you on s2ki.com!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !

Do it, S2K is so much fun and they look amazing.
So many parts available for them and decent prices, i wouldnt mind picking up an s2000 as a project car some time this year.

LOL, everyone in this thread is basically talking the OP into buying the S2k..

s2k = slow, torque less, small, 2 seater, interior isn't as nice as your BMW, etc

2008 335i  [0.00]
I've driven an AP1 S2000 for 15min and I fell in love. I own a 335i and if I could care less about anything else, I would trade it in for a brand new AP2 S2000 if I could.

Why is it that every time someone makes a thread about a non-BMW vehicle, you feel the need to down-talk it?

The S2000 is an awesome car for its pricetag and what it has to offer. Lightweight, good handling, drop-top, 2seats.

Not to mention the aftermarket support is ridiculous. Turbo S2K =

DO IT! Since you already have a BMW, chances are you care about the driving experience and having fun and that is what S2K is about. Life is too short to stick with one car/brand.

Well I was thinking the same(my screename screams Audi fan) plus I had honda's before that. So I won't be one of those guys saying it's a BMW keep it since it brings you chicks and has a nice interior.
Honestly I've had buyer remorse since day one (should have gone E46 M3 way or Z4 M coupe). I love high reving engines...go with an AP1(avoid 2000's) because of that plastic window(I would slap a hardtop on an s2k).

I remember the guy from the EVO post about a month ago...I can't wait to hear the : Well it ain't no bmw.

Twinturbo335: Some guys are into tracking, solo etc and we didn't get our Bmw for the pimpin factor. It was in fact the main thing why it took so long for me to buy a bmw. Ultimately is it a reason why I will be selling this car by the end of the year. I'm tired of people talking to me about my car. I will end up with a track car and a pick up truck.

It's nothing personal against you(Twinturbo335) but Bmw are nothing special. In fact Mercedes and Audi have better interior and also looks better from the outside. Bmw are the most fun to drive out of the bunch but than again the stereotypes kicks in.

Beside the M coupe and M3 no Modern bmw can give as much pleasure. Yes they have their strenghts but they just can't match that level of pleasure.

I bought the 135i because it does everything well. It's a fantastic jack of all trades, but I do miss the S2K in the summer months :-D. My big issue is that in a way I'd feel like downgrading trading my 135i for most other DD cars. It's the absolute perfect DD for me.

I may save up some cash and pick one up next winter when the prices are even lower, heh.

I'd rather have 2 cars over 1. Sure the 135I is the perfect daily driver. I would keep it BUT I'd rather put more $ towards a track car and have a lesser daily. Let's be honest here 300+ hp stock, brembo's etc are overkill. Especially where I live with photos-radars and new laws which can get your car impounded easily the Truck-SUV idea is becoming more and more appealing. I took off all my mods 2 weeks ago and the car will be for sale shortly.

Or a MR-S with 2zz engine swap + 6spd, would be even more fun then a s2k, lighter and faster. Upto you on the looks department though.

S2k are hot and already good to go.
