2012 C-Class coupe...serious 3-series rival at last?

For those of us that love more than just BMWs, it's good to see a car in the works at MB that might actually have a shot at going head-to-head with the 3-series coupe since the Sportcoupe was pretty much a joke.

you do realize bmw uses leds too right?

Hold up, you realize that is just some 2 cent artist's render of what the new would look like and not what MB actually designed? Also, you do realize the trend of future headlamp from xenon to LED?

VW doesn't own Porsche. At least not yet.

Mercedes needs to drop some real motors into the various C-class variants if they want to compete with the 3-series.

If the C350 had 300+hp, 300+lb-ft V6, that would be the ticket.

As far as looks go, the C350 looks a tad better than the E90 IMO.

Looks good but ever since the 335i came out the rest just don't compete compared to performance for the price in the luxury segment. I like the looks of the new C Class but it's underpowered and doesn't drive as nicely as the 335i.

The g37 sedan doesn't compete with the 335i sedan for performance for the price? Similar performance, less money.
