ok, so ever since i saw the first transformers movie, i was stoked about the new camaro.

ive always been a muscle car fan, so i was expecting alot. ive seen quite a few during the day. the other day i saw one at night it it seemed to have a halo ring around its headlights.

this kind of crap is driving me nights.

BMW innovated the angel eyes/ halo ring and it should stay that way. now that i think of it i saw an f-150 with halo ring lights........super ghetto........

I saw one here in NC at the dealership - I believe it is the first one to be delivered and from the exterior it looked pretty cool. I will always have a place in my heart for a nice muscle car. I would agree on the lights though - I didn't notice they had done that. That being said, having owned a GM car for six years I will never own another if it is my choice.

I always thought the new camaro was ugly as hell. The back end is "ok". Frontis ugly as hell.

interior and gauges are bad ass though.

Other than that is ugly and heavy IMO.
And probably handles just like every other us made product (save the vette).

After My 2005 GTO - Im done with GM (and holden) Motor was awesome. Rear end went at 15K miles. Constant minor issues.

Why can't they design modern cars, that don't weigh as much as a freight train, and don't drive like tanks?

i was excited about the camaro until i saw it in person. there's a small bump on the rear fender to mimic an air scoop. only problem is there isnt anything there- just a bump. no actual scoop. thats gay.

I haven't seen either car up close, but I didn't think they looked all that big. I think the camaro is very hot looking.

And BMW designs these light vehicles? The 3 series weighs anywhere from 3340-3820 lb. When most compact cars weigh under 3000 lb.

All manufactures are producing fat pigs. And all manufactures steal design cues from each other. Even your precious BMW. You know what BMW did when the CTS was revealed? The CEO had a person go trace part of the cars design( I forgot which part) because he insisted it had to be plastic and not metal. And the rear on the new 7 series looks similar to the Lexus LS. Get used to other manufactures taking design cues. It's part of the industry. Get over it.

And the Camaro SS lapse the 'Ring in 8:20. Hardly a tank.

+1 on the "mullet factor." And +1 that this car is another piece of crap. When will the Transformer fanboys realize that outside appearance is only skin deep?

But someone forgot to sweat the details. The Camaro SS’s bulldog front bumper, pregnant fender flares and breadbox rear deck reek of haste, dying for an evening with a clay modeler’s wire-loop tool. And what the last F-body did for hatchbacks, the new Camaro does for the boot: reasonable space but cumbersome usage makes it a pointless endeavor. Combined with a skyward beltline and miniscule greenhouse, even the Camaro SS’s nine-inch wide rear wheels get lost in the flab. And this ain’t no sexy, slippery F-body. The new Camaro has the poise and elegance of Tenacious D on skateboards.

The interior reeks and creaks of GM interior’s stock and trade: look for visual pleasure, yet touch for sensory disapproval. Aside from stitched armrests on the SS’ door panels, Camaro occupants sit between a rock and a hard place. Faux silver trim accents the flimsy vent registers on a brittle dashboard, then encompass the area normally associated with cloth/vinyl padding on the door panels. (Even the Chevrolet Aveo got that right.) Sitting in the Camaro’s cramped rear cubby reinforces the impression. The interior is awash in a blandness that would not feel out of place in a Chrysler Sebring. What happened to the world-class interiors you promised, Mr. Lutz?

The Chevrolet Camaro still wanders like a lost Taliban in the Tora Bora; angry and full of vigor, but without any focused direction. No longer a Panhard-infused, knuckle-dragging back road barnstormer, the new Camaro has enough inertia-infused body roll to feel like an overstuffed gymnast in quick corners. The multi-branded Camaro/Brembo calipers have a Bumblebee-like identity crisis, but they stop like a Decepticon in Optimus Prime’s wake, sans nose-dive.

There’s a respectable amount of on-center steering feel. Navigating left hand turns around medians, pedestrians and subcompacts requires craning around the A-pillar to ensure a safe and speedy getaway. While it’s possible to drive the Camaro fast, don’t expect an easy time, what with a soft suspension under the hard and slippery bucket seats. Like most of today’s “Fat Elvis” American performance icons, the Chevrolet Camaro SS is suited to freeway sweepers, not SCCA road courses. And that’s a damn shame."

I will say though, if I had to choose a pony car, 2010 Mustang GT would get my vote anyday. Much lighter, and IMO more refined (the Camaro's interior just looks a lot cheaper than the 'Stang's

At least it has an independent rear suspension. Unlike the Mustang.

I've seen a Challenger in person and its FREAKING HUGE. It's about the size of a 7 series (short wheel base). Have not seen a Camaro in person yet.

86,000 miles on our 2002 Suburban and not one gremlin or problems.........

83,000 miles on our 1996 Suburban before being traded in for the 2002 with no problems.

45,000 miles on our E46, blown water pump.

56,000 miles on the E46, engine started to rough idle.

70,000 miles on our E46 new pulley.

66,000 miles on 2006 Equinox and bad rear driveshaft and no other issues.

Our GM products have been a lot more dependable then our E46( which is with my bro now and has had issues with the fuel injector and window motors though I don't know the mileage of it). So far our E90 has been reliable. No HPFP issues yet( knock on wood).

Wow this thread is so serious. I don't see why you care so much. I'm not saying its ok, but it shouldn't be something to get worked up about. Aftermarket headlights will be coming soon anyways

I don't know who would want to replace the HID headlights the Camaro RS comes with. They look sick already.......
