Mecum Auto Auction on TV - '91 BMW 850Ci
Anyone watch the Mecum auto auction from today (Chicagoland area)? They just had a '91 850Ci that looked brand new. I didn't hear the miles but it looked perfect in charcoal gray (whatever they called it back in 91) with light gray leather. It was a beautiful car and it sold for $15k. Would be a sweet car to add to a BMW enthusiast's collection!
This is the actual car that they sold...BEAUTIFUL! http://www.mecum.com/auctions/lot_de...D=CH1009-84688 |

Wow, it's really neat seeing a car this old that looks like it never left the showroom.

I would be disappointed too if it wasn't for the fact that it is 18 years old and like new....
And this"ME CUM" auction is probably the greatest collection of cars, mostly pre-1970, that I have ever seen....lots of cars going for $100k+ |

Very beautiful car no doubt. Unfortunately they're slow, heavy, and V12s are maintenance intensive (2 of everything!).
Love watching the Mecum Auctions in HD..... |
