hardly. only somewhat. not at all like the first one though. they do a good job of mixing up the stuff you do and the missions don't all follow the exact same procedure.

it's pretty fucking amazing.

i just beat it. best ending to a game, ever. or at least one of the best. it's memorable to say the least. nice twist.

What bugged me in the first is the controls are sort of automated. Like say you run to the edge of a building and the guy does the "woah" thing and falls back.
I don't want it to do that. I want the game to be more like Tomb Raider controls where it's my problem if I don't hit jump at the right time. Something that requires more precision.
Did they change that in the 2nd Assassin's creed?

If they're saying 2 is easier than 1, then I would assume they didn't change it.

They didn't change the free running and I agree, I don't like the automated behavior. But overall AC2 is incredible, one of the best games of the year

The first one was so meh and overhyped. It got so boring so fast.

I beat this last night, the ending was crazy. It's gonna be a long wait for part 3. I'm betting it will come out in December 2012, for reasons you'll see at the end of this game.
