PC MSN Messenger/Windows Installer help

Hi sorry for being a newbie but I reformatted my PC and now trying to download the newest version of MSN Messenger, but it's telling me that I need to download the new Windows Installer (I guess mine is out of date). My concern is that I might not have the genuine windows XP and if I download and install the new Windows Installer... Will everything be alright? Will I get that pop out that tell me to get a genuine windows? TIA

Don't you remember if you have stole something or not?

Do you mean the windows live when you download it from here?

As far as I know you shouldn't have any problems.
