which autoshow will we possibly see the new x3 and when can we expect to see at dealer?

you will not see an X3 in a showroom before 2011.

The X1 is not to debut before the X3 in the US 2011 was the year given NOT model year. The X3 will debut this fall and the X1 will follow suit 6-8 months later. BMW has made the X1 after the X3 very clear for quite sometime.

The Current X3 heads out to pasture this summer, the line at Magna will be switched over to the MINI Countryman for Early 2011 production. X3 may not debut at a car show, much like the 5 GT and the F10 5er did. BMW and others have decided they are not waiting for car shows to roll out product as the economy has dictated that media coverage is not that great at shows as it once was.

ok, then i would bet new X3 avail early 2011 and X1 avail summer 2011 in US.
i have read about X3 delays and i don't see BMW making it in time. i hope i am wrong as i rather not get my wife into an oversized (for us) X5 LCI.

The X3 is not "delayed" per se, it will introduce a new ordering concept for the US and they want to introduce it in Europe first to be sure the bugs in the system are worked out. BMW is introducing things in the EU more and more before the US sees them, to ramp up production rather than just going full steam ahead.

The MINI Countryman will hit the US in early 2011, this is reported to be a combined launch with the X1- Countryman is 4 seater and the X1 is a 5 so they do not compete with each other (in the US the CM can't feature 5 seats b/c of the DOT, not a marketing decision).

I am sure we will begin to hear more and more about this new X3 over the next few months.

will this ordering concept be transparent to the customer or will it add to the BMW buying experience??
