Is there any special way to lift a bmw?

I have a 2007 335i and I was wondering if there is any special way to lift it on a car hoist. I know there is a special place for a special jack you have to buy but I wasn't sure if the same goes for a car lift hoist. Thanks

If you look under the door sills (they are called rocker panels) in back of the front wheels and infront of the rear wheels you'll see plastic blocks. The plastic blocks are the "lifting" points for the car. This is where you place the lifting arms from the hoist to lift the car.
