sup guys! i need a little help on speed ticket...=[

sup everyone

so here's my situation...
I was speeding to get to a RadioShack Corp. meeting and was busted by CHP. I live in SF, CALI and was going to MILPITAS....
got caught in PALO ALTO on 101 S. SO...i was
going 90 but the chp officer was nice and cited me
going 80. However, the speed limit on 101 is 65 mPH!!!
BS cuz every single freaken car is going above that
.. but whatever.

SOOO...this is my first ticket and he told me to go Traffic Shool...but do i also have to go to court? And does anyone know how much the ticket would be?
I'm not sure wither or not I have to go court if I pay off the ticket and go to traffic school....

You only go to court if you want to fight the ticket. I would recommend taking the school to avoid the points on your license.

The ticket should cost you around $130. If you go to court, your fine will be lowered. That also means a few hours, if not a day, off of work.

i think you can take the ticket off ur record if u give up ur license until ur 18

well i am 18 now...0o. and this is my FIRSTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT ticket. but then on the ticket it says specifically "without admitting guilt, i promise to appear at the time and place indicated below" and i signed it...sand court time/palce is below my signature.

sooo....=( does this mean i HAVE TO go to court?

Not if you dont contest and pay the ticket before the due date.
