Headphones
Just wondering if anyone on here is into headphones?
What do you got? Right now i have Klipsch S4's which i would recommend for a nice first step into higher end headphones. Such a huge difference going from $10-30 headphones like sony or skullcandy into the $80 range. Im trying to find a new pair though and think im gonna pull the trigger on the SE530's

I use Sennheiser HD800's with a Lehmann Black Cube Linear Amplifier, HD650's with a Corda Symphony.2, AKG K701's with a Creek Music Hall (with stepped AC adapter), and Beyerdynamic DT770s.

Bose QC15. Tried to stay away from Bose (no highs, no lows, it's Bose, right?), but for noise cancelling, everything I tried was second rate to the bose. For DJ headphones, I have a pair of Sony Studio headphones that were $150 10 years ago.

I do not have any experience with the SE530's because I never got into earbuds...but my friend got the E2Cs as his first "audiophile" product and swears by Shure. I'd suggest going to Head.Fi and searching for others' opinions/analysis. And finally, I am just an audiophile. I play guitar and drums; and on occasion will help friends with music production issues...but just as a hobby.

I love Shure. I used to be a big Sennheiser guy, but they are notorious for a lack of lows.
But what kind of fitment do you want? In ear, on ear, over ear, etc... Also price range. I'm rocking some Shure SE310s! I love them. I switched from shitty $300 Sennheiser to this pair that I found a year ago for cheap on ebay. It's amazing the difference. |

If I could get earbuds to stay in my ear, I'd love to try some Shure's some day...everyone seems to love them. Ultimate Ears also has some good individually molded buds that I may try in the future.

I have a set of Klipsch Image S4s, Superfi Pro 5's, and Sennheiser HD 595 driven by a home built PPA pimeta v2 based headphone amp with 3 Burr Brown 627OPA's. I used to have a set of Grado SR80's but sold them because they were just too bright, not comfortable enough.
