Houston peeps
Going to be in H-town this weekend (Mar.4-7). Looking for ideas for good, fun family restaurants. Will be wife, myself and 2 young boys. We will be staying at the Galleria but will have wheels.
Also I will be trying to make it out to Cars and Coffee if I can break away for a while. Anybody going? The weather is supposed to be really nice. I'll be in the family truckster but I am looking to check out some nice cars a since exotics are like aliens in New Orleans. |

The Houston Rodeo is going on for the next two weeks. It’s the largest rodeo in the world and totally a unique Houston experience. If you go early enough you can get into the grounds to see the animals in the livestock show and miss the large crowds going to the concert in the evening. There is also a great old school carnival in the adjacent area that’s great for kids (and adults).

Just went to the rodeo last night...saw one rider get the absolute shit kicked out of him by a bull, he didn't look like he was in good shape afterwards.
There is lots to do there for a family though. They have tons of stuff at the exhibition hall and the fair, it's a good time. Definitely the thing to do in Houston right now. |
