'06 M6 is the same price as '08 M3...what a great value that M6 makes! Timeless...
I was just browsing BMW CPO inventory, and discovered what a great value CPO M6! How about the monster 7 series? How about under $40k for the 750i? I think I would choose CPO M6 V10 over CPO M3 V8. It is just mind blowing, in 4 years the price of an M6 is slashed in half!

i guess you must not know much about the market for cars in general. that is obviously bound to happen over time....i mean that m6 is over 4 years old. imo m models lose their values very quickly

Funny how I was just talking about this with some co-workers.
Yea that is why I will never buy new again. I got it out of my system. I saw the other day 08' M3 convertible, fully loaded, CPO listed for $54K... 3,5XX miles!! Thats ridiculous. 07' M6 fully loaded coupe, CPO, 28,XXX miles $49K Right now I am driving a 09' 335i with 12K miles. O, I wish I can go back in time and buy a M car CPO. Obviously if I was stinking rich I will probably buy new but a single guy doing alright for himself making 100k a year, going with slightly used.

Yeah, buying used is definitely cheaper. I'll probably only buy a new Porsche down the line...other than that, I'll only buy slightly used cars.

Funny, this is the exact same thing I did. I was going to get a used M6 for about $50k, excpet I figured it was a much better idea to get an 08 M3 with 8k miles on it instead (plus more factory warranty) for the same cost.
The new M3 has a much smoother trans than the M6- plus the M3 handles better b/c it is so much lighter. Although the M6 is a boss and touches supercar territory regarding all specs, but the M3 is a much better deal than a used M6. Now if you have the money to pony up and get a slighlty used M6, that is a different story! |

The M6 doesn't do much for me. If you want the V10 get an M5...

The M3 is much more desirable.....Who wants an M6...most status seekers will buy a used 645 or 650. I would never own an M6.....

I'd love to get an M6! Last of the naturally aspirated V10 engines.

I'd definitely get the M6. It looks fantastic and the S85 produces one of the most amazing sounds I've ever heard. Sounds like a bargain to me
(I know it's an M5, but the sound would be identical to the M6 obviously)

It's weird how some cars do well and others don't. Like the 3 series and the M3 hold their values pretty well. However, the higher series don't do as well. I remember seeing this guy trading in his M5 for like $3x,000. He was very shocked but that's just the way things are. The market for M cars is very soft.
