If one more person tells me we are all going to die in 2012 I'm going to pull my hair out. Did we already forget what was supposed to happen in 2000 and not a damn thing happened.

I don't think we can predict the end of the world, and I am not saying that the 2012 shit is real. However one is based on human perception and the other is on computer technology. So comparing y2k and 2012 is kind of pointless. I don't know if they're getting more press than years past and thats why I'm noticing, but it seems there have been a lot of big earthquakes so far this year.

If I'm not mistaken all technological equipment is supposed to fail due to solar rays from the sun which will lead to mayhem and destruction on earth as we know it lol. I can see some smililarites between y2k and 2012 although my point wasn't about the similiarites rather how y2k was supposed to crash every computer in the world and nothing happened.

It's some effed up planetary alignment. They explain the alignment here http://www.bibliotecapleyades.net/esp_2012_03.htm That the Mayans were right about the planetary alignment that long ago is pretty amazing, but who knows what actual repercussions, if any, the alignment will have.

the mayan never said the world would come to an end on 2012... they don't believe in "endings" their calendars are cyclical, they simply start over. according to them, we've lived thru 13 b'ak'tun (over 5000 years), and Dec 21, 2012 is simply day 1 of the 14th B'ak'tun. it's just math, nothing more. if we were mayan we would create a calendar were 12/21/2012 equals 13.0.0.0.0 because we just ended 0.0.0.0.0 (it's a count down)
