if you couldn't have an E90/92
There is a good chance my E90 is totaled and I'll need a new car. I found one used E90 in a manual (so hard to find!) that I plan on getting if my car can't be fixed (and I'm hoping it can't). But then I was thinking, is there another car I would consider getting? Someone suggested the new X3.
So my question to you all is besides the E90/92, new or used in the low 30k price range what other car would you consider getting? I wouldn't want something bigger; I'm small and I like small cars.

Hmm tough question, especially coming out of the E90. It depends what you're looking for i.e. 2 seater sports, sports sedan, SUV etc. If you're keeping withing the sports sedan class then the Audi A4 2.0T is a distant substitute. There are great bargains on the C-class right now (MT available). I quite like the TSX but its no E90.

As KL2DC said, it's all dependant upon what you're looking for. There are tons of car choices out there, narrow it down a bit based upon your needs.
You say you're small and like small cars; yet you're looking at the X3. I know it's a small SUV (oops, sorry SAV), but it's still a SUV.

Hmmm...I doubt that they will total it... Of course, I hope they will because nobody would want to drive a car that has been in a tough accident...
Wait for the new 2008 Infinity Coupe MT, or if you cant wait, get the 4 door with MT...not a BMW but a very good car with lot of gadgets and lots of power to offer, for the same or even less money. Good luck!!!

I find that I am addicted to bmw. But if one day, I no longer feel like paying more than 35 grant for a car, I go with honda civic hatchback or the honda accord coupe.
Would you take my silver 330i manual so I can get the 335i pls... j/k edit:I am not a fan of 2 doors but I would go with civic hatchback or accord coupe cuz accord sedan looks bad. For geramn, bmw all the way. For Japan have to go with honda.

the only other cars i can say really compares to the e90 are the e46 (zhp preferably) or the b7 audi a4, everything else is just kiddy play. If I were in your shoes I would find a used e90 330 or a zhp e46 and call it a day.

I've always wanted the blue 350Z. I've always loved that car and that color. You can also look at the late model G35s. They are nice cars. Not BMW nice, but a different kind of nice.

i would most likely not get anything and save more to get and e90 sedan because they are cheaper than the e92, depending of the options or stock. It's the drive dude... I don't believe many cars can come close.

Doubtful they'll total it .... but having squandered my single person/no-kids days on sedans (why did I feel like I needed 4drs before kids?) and now looking forward to when I can rectify it .... yeah, I'll be the gray haired guy in the Porsche.
I'd probably buy an s2k while they're still available or start hunting for a really nice used Boxster. |

a nice white z4 3.0i convertible. or coupe! that is a nice car for a girl i think.
if you're looking for a sedan, look for a new 325 or 330i. they both cost less than an e90(four door) 328i. believe me, i know. my friend just got a 328xi and it cost more than a 330i fully loaded that they had in the dealership. He went with the 328xi because he wanted the XI function. but otherwise, he would've saved a huge amount going with the 330i. The leasing option was $510 a month.
