Is Singapore becomimg the land of the unaffordable car?
After reading this report,
http://www.cnngo.com/singapore/none/...car-coe-652576 to drive in Singapore you need to have a COE ( certificate of entitlement) that is now becoming more expensive than the car itself a 535i costs around $150,000 USD , but to drive it in Singaporean roads can cost you up to $ 250,000 USD, and the owners of this new Lamborghini Reventon priced at $ 2.1 million, http://www.cnngo.com/singapore/shop/...ngapore-350259 need $ 5 million to drive it, |

A lot of major U.S cities could learn a thing or two about transportation infrastructure from Singapore; a country that is less oil dependent, less grid locked, and has higher overall air quality.

I love singapore, had my primary education there and think it is the best city in the world. You guys fail to realize that Singapore has the 2nd thickest (after Monaco which isnt really a country) population density. They have to make it expensive.
On the plus side, MRT's and buses are the best. Cabs are cheap and there is very little crime.
