Best one I ever wrote was about the reversion to state-independant currency alongside the American dollar in order to stimulate the local economy. I had fun writing it too.
If this topic interests you, look up the Massachusetts BerkShare and read a bit on it. Fascinating. |

Maybe look here for a touchy topic.
http://www.northdecoder.com/ Might even get to get some argument ideas from some of the user comments. It might be good to argue something that is relevant to your local government. Probably get props from your teacher since you won't take on gay rights/military/or some other "national" issue. |

Specific Problem: The modern classroom's dependency on Technological communication in course work.
Solution to Dilemma: Find a middle ground that enables us to utilize and moderate the newly found uses of technology while balancing the ever so important in-classroom interaction... Use in moderation Call to Action: Students and teachers alike should come to realization that we can’t be entirely dependent on these online tools because they are easy and convenient. Use them in moderation and do not neglect the in class interaction that develops one of the most important attributes acquired during students education: Face-to-Face interaction. Students should demand the most from their education. (I am referring to online submission sites like BlackBoard and communication via email from student to teacher/vice versa via Email.) Thoughts? |

That topic has the potential to be pretty good, I say go with it.
Just check your Call-to-Action for grammatical errors though - you need to add a "the" before "realization" and clean up that second sentence a bit. Try something like "Technology should be used in moderation as to not neglect the in-class interaction that develops one of the most important attributes acquired during a student's education: Face-to-Face interaction."

Do something about government intervention in free markets. Shouldn't be hard with all the Lexus/Toyota problems as of late.
