Impressed by friends 2010 Ford Fusion
Wow, A friend of mine bought a Ford Fusion with the 4 cylinder and the 6 speed manual. She came by tonight to show me and I got to drive it, I am very very impressed. The shifter was very concise with short throws, acceleration was spirited, and she was getting 30+ mpg on the highway. I was very quiet at highway speeds. Handling was very European.
I love the look inside and out. All for under $20K out the door. Good job Ford.

If I had to buy only one car with a reasonable price tag it would be a Fusion Sport. The thing looks good drives well, good incentive and reliable. On top it's fun to drive. Anyday of the week over the Accord, Camry.

Overall they're good looking cars, I just HATE the big chrome slats, so obnoxious.
I'd probably look at the new Hyundai Sonata in addition to the Fusion if I was looking for a car in that segment. |

I prefer the Fiesta. I think that could be Ford's best looking car in a long time.

Yeah, those new commercials where they swap peoples cars. I agree, the one in that commercial looked 10x better w/the blacked out grill.

The best part about the Fiesta is that it's a proven car in its segment, in perhaps the most competitive segment in Europe. That's impressive. No worries about teething problems.... This is the kind of thing Ford should have been doing for a while; I do believe they are the #1 seller in England, no? Amazing that they could be having so much success with small cars with so much competition, and just now they're giving the American market those goods that do so well over there. Ford is doing good things. GM is doing alright, although they're going to have to do better than just rebadging Daewoos all the time. Now, if Ford could just mercifully stop putting out a laughing stock for an NFL team every year, I'd be ecstatic.... |

I think the sport model has the body colored grill. Looks 100x better that way.

I was stuck in a rental for a month before my 1er came. It was a Fusion.
I will say I was damn impressed with it. Yeah it's still got a lot of the old Ford-isms in the interior, a few engineering blunders as far as HVAC / radio placement, but holy cow - I would not have believed I was driving a Ford. The thing had some balls for one, and it handled extremely well for what it is. Way to go Ford +2!

The 2011 Focus looks nice too. I can't wait to see the 2 door performance "SVT"? version.

Have I wandered into the Twilight Zone?
This is a Ford Fusion: which is a stretched version of this which is a Ford Fiesta (I should know, I have one): ...or have Ford cocked up and brought our names across for completely different models Stateside? |
