Not the same engine you're thinking of, but yeah the same block. It's the 2JZ-GE(not GTE) which is the non turbo version.

^ correct, which is hella weaker than 2jz-gte. It seems like they built the 2jz-ge. I've seen plenty of 2jz-gte swaps in is300.
I would personally just buy a supra.

I thought this engine was essentially the same engine that was used in the n/a supra. If i remember correctly, a lot of people wanted to add stock turbos to this engine, but there was a problem with hood clearance initially. As always, a solution is found.
I wanted this car in 2002 before i got my S2000 in 2003. I'm glad I got an S2000 instead. |

What is your point? The engine is STOCK, was FREE, and has 150k on it, out of a buddy's SC300 when he upgraded to a 1JZ. It does have a custom build intake manifold, but the head and bottom end are bone stock.

Who the fuck cares if the engine is built or not?
2JZ -engineering marvel. I'm pretty sure 2JZ-GE can handle more power than the 4G63 in "STOCK" form for both. So that means 2JZ-GE > 4G63 right? And this is a fucking fast car. |
