which filter should i get?

I already chose this one http://maxsaver.net/Hoya-77mm-Neutra...ss-Filter.aspx for my 10-20mm, but i'm not sure which one i want for my 18-200mm lens.

whats the difference between these two besides the brand?

B+W Circular Polarizer

or

Hoya PRO1 DIGITAL Circular Polarizer

I just bought this one:

http://www.adorama.com/BW77CPLWM.html

One issue Im having with it is that it doesnt want to stay on the lens. Haven't had the chance to really use it though, going to do that at Le Mans next weekend.

Can't really go wrong with either.

$179!! I am in the market for a new filter also. I think I will have to go with the Hoya.

The Hoya is pretty good. The B+W, however, is THE one. I bought it last year for about $100+ or so (that was after the price increase). The price has rocketed since then. It's pretty damn expensive for a filter. 9/10 people would go with the B+W and 99% of statistics is made up.

I can't help you choose, but I'd really recommend a polarizing filter for the 10-mm lens too.

That's not nice!

I've got the B+W Circular polarized, but not the "slim" version. Since I use it with a crop sensor on my 70-200, I'm not concerned about making sure it was the "slim" model. I also bought it used from a local camera shop for $70, so I thought it was a good deal.

I only use B+W Filters on all my gear. Best of the best.

I've bought both brands and have been happy with each.

And not to distract from the thread at all but to enhance it, I have one more comment to add. If you use a polarizer with people, you can sometimes make their skin look like it was painted with an air brush. It's a different effect that you'll have to decide if you like or not. I personally don't like the appearance of skin when the polarizer is used. Sometimes, you can see a similar effect on TV shows and movies when the camerawork calls for what I'm guessing is also a polarizer on their high dollar equipment. Skin to me looks fake with the filter.

After you purchase your filter, you might want to try it out with someone who has a bit of shine to his or her face and see if you like it. Be sure the lighting is at an angle so the polarizing effect is at or near it's optimum filtering capability.
