Movie Thread

Well, I'm new to OT and I thought i'd start my first thread, and about something I love: movies.

What's a recent movie you've seen, did it blow or was it awesome?

Last night I watched "Taken," which I found in my dorm room when I moved back home (free gift, nice!)

It's been a while since I've seen that movie and it was pretty damn good! I've always been a big Pierre Morel fan and it's good to see him back on top of his game. Liam Neeson was great, and beat the shit (Quite un-realistically of course) out of a bunch of baddies on the quest to find his daughter (played by Maggie Grace) Grace wasn't that good in the movie, who looked too old for the part and kept running for no reason.

Anyways, what's a movie you've seen recently?

"Taken" was awesome.

"Law Abiding Citizen" was awesome, but the ending was so bad that it ruined the entire movie.

"Edge of Darkness" was alright too.

From Paris With Love

Amazing! I thought that it was a romance since it came out around Vag day. I was wrong...

John Travolta and my favorite actor Jonathan Rhys Meyers.

I think that Hangover is one of the best comedies in many years.

Robin Hood: Long, somewhat dull, nice action scenes, but left me feeling like it was a pretty 2-dimensional, mass-market movie. But that was basically what I expected.

Get Him to The Greek was pretty funny, and I agree the Hangover was hilarious.

I watched "Kick Ass" and it was pretty clever, and I saw "Death at a Funeral" which was not that good, especially since I enjoyed the British version so much. If you have a chance, watch it, it's really funny. The British one, with white people: NOT the Chris Rock one.

"Taken" was really good. "Law Abiding Citizen" was good too but like you said I wasn't thrilled with the ending. "Edge of Darkness" sucked donkey balls. I thought it was gonna be good but was very disappointed. The whole movie he was just running around doing almost nothing. The acting was bad, story line was bad, just a bad movie overall. I think they were trying to not look like "Taken" so much that they ruined the movie.

The last one I saw was Iron Man and I didn't really, really like it. I saw Kick Ass before that and LOVED it!! It was funny because at first I thought Kick Ass was stupid but then was looking forward to it during release week. Iron Man was the complete opposite.

Transformers 2 Sucked

I've decided that Meghan fox is the worst actress ever. Yeah, I'd fuck her brains out, but she probably couldn't even act an orgasm correctly.

Or something

What else. . .

Watched Hot Tub time machine really really stoned not that long ago, that movie was pretty damn funny, considering I went into it with low expectations.

Date night, didn't think it was funny at all..seemed like most of the jokes were directed towards 15 year olds.

Kick ass, very good movie, not at all funny though.

Youth and Revolt, terrible, turned it off after an hour , didn't even chuckle.
