Wawanesa Insurance
I'd just like to say I love my insurance company..
Just called and ran a couple price quotes: $946 to cover a 2009 GT-R for a full year $576 for a 2010 e93 M3 My 2009 335i cost $956 for the full year. However, the 335i has been quoted as a car used for work (7.5mi) while the GTR/M3 are quoted mainly as extra pleasure cars (which in turn they would be, as I can quote the 3000GT as the work car, or the truck) Anyone who has a 100% clean driving record and lives in CA should get it. If you are under 25, you cannot have any accidents, and I believe no points either. If you are over 25, you can have 1 point I believe. Accidents mean at fault accidents. Not-at fault are different. I was thinking of putting this in the CA section, but w/e

Yup, great insurance. I totalled my car and received a settlement check in two weeks. They didn't go by book value either, they took the average of 5 cars being sold in the area so I got way more than I expected.

Before, when my family and I were on Farmers, we were paying about $4800 every 6 MONTHS for all of our cars.
now, we are paying a total of $4650 for our cars for the whole YEAR Before, my ins was about 2100 for the year. I saved the family so much as a whole that my dad actualy paid half of my ins for the past year; fair exchange :P

You have to know how to deal with insurance companies Our old POS Truck is registered under my name and it's what I registered as the car for work Which is true in a way..... If I was insurred as the main driver on the 335i, it'd be around what you're paying.

What kind of coverage do you have on the 335i. With 100/300/100 and $100 and $300 deductables they quoted me at $1500/year. I have had them for the past 3 years. Switched to Statefarm, car insurance is a little higher but with my home owners and motorcycle insurance going down it makes up for it.

Insurance is cheaper. You need to look at all costs when purchasing a car. Doesn't matter who's name it is in as long as you're on the same insurance policy. If you have multiple cars, you can play around with it. The SLK, 335i, and the Porsche are under my mom and dad's names. The trunk, the van, and the 3000 GT are me brother cousin Though my dad has never even sat in the 335, slk, or the Porsche; he loves his Vans... 6'5" lol We had a great agent before, so we knew how to organize our Wawanesa plan $500 deductible. For the coverage, but it was the maximum allowed.

How do these points work? By the sounds of it, I'm lucky that I don't live in a state that puts points on your license.

In CA, any moving violation will result in a point unless you take traffic school
That's if you qualify for traffic school which is another sack of $ If it's bad, it can be 2+ points I believe it's either 3 or 5 points that you will get your license suspended

Cheap is not everything; you want good service when it comes time to make a claim.
