How BMW is dealing with an aging workforce
Saw this video and thought it was great to see BMW's approach. I guess it shouldn't come as a surprise that they put as much thought into their production methods as they do their designs.

Good thinking by BMW; but then again, it may have limited impact in the US since the US is the one of the few industrialized countries that's expected to grow, not shrink, in the coming decades. Europe, Asia (China/Japan included) - they're all projected to shrink in population due to not enough new births to replace the existing population

Aren't we in the same boat with the disparity between baby boomers and Gen X?

Pretty sure that while the US workforce is getting grayer, the overall population is expected to keep expanding, leading to an increased population.
Problem with Europe/Asia is people just aren't having enough kids; not really a problem in the US, though a lot of the grow is driven by immigrants (all nations, not just mexico)
