F@$# Ebay

I tried to sell my iphone 4 a couple of times and each time got a fraudulent payment. Now ebay is charging me $120 because they think I sold it. I searched the whole site and they dont have a phone number. I found one off of google and called it only to be redirected to the site. Anybody know how i can contact them and tell them what is going on.

you need to file a non-paying buyer dispute so you can get those fees waived/refunded (but eBay might only give you credit for your account).

when the iPhone 3G came out, I sold mine and got a couple of non-paying buyers the first few times it was listed. Then, it sold for above the market price and I called the eBayer to make sure they would pay. It was a ~7 year-old ghetto black kid who told me he was just bidding for fun. I talked to his dad after and his dad says "nah, fvck that we ain't payin fo' shit, nah nah i don't kno' what you talkin' bout'" and he hung up.

but the next buyer finally paid, i guess since it was buy it now and he was buying it for an "overseas client" 'aka' selling it overseas because it's worth a lot more there. but he was nice enough to let me file a non-paying buyer dispute to get the listing/closing fees back.

eBay sucks...

I tried to sell a car on ebay once. It sold twice but both times I had non-paying buyers. I did get my listing fee credited back to me without much hassle though. The biggest issue was all the time I wasted waiting for the auctions to end, feeling like I had sold the car, and then having to re-list again.

Yeah good luck. I do some real estate business on the side using eBay and have had to do this process once. To be honest, it was 100% worthless because (in my case at least) the eBay clown acted like a mediator in a divorce settlement or something, and both parties had to be present. Well guess what, if the other person isn't answering your emails, not a whole lot can be done. I hate to be a downer but odds are you're f*cked. eBay blows.

Had a similar problem few years back. My frustration started with the fact that there is no customer service hotline. So had to file a claim on line, about a week later got response, about 2 weeks later the issue was resolved. And they told me something like "you can only file 2 claims per year" I thought it was utter BS. My response was "what if it happens that you deal with spammers?" They told me this: you have to check their ratings blah blah blah. I don't know if that policy changed but I am not selling anything on it anymore.

Amazon works better, but has its flaws

I personally never had to deal with a non-payer, but what ebay does expect you to do is monitor you auction and if someone has a low rating there use to be a way you could remove their bid and offer it to the next highest bidder. This has back fired in the past because people use to think that the non-bidder was actually a shiv bidder and they would not pay either since they believe they were bidded up.

I always ignore accounts with 0 positive rep. I have not had to deal with non-payment thus far.

Fellas, Fellas,

Enough with the eBay bashing. They pay my salary and I'm a loyalist. There are ways to prevent this (e.g. bidder requirements, etc.).

If the OP will PM me I'll help you out. I work for them. I can see everything.

So what occurs when you get a fraudulent payment? Are you not using PayPal?

Dude this just happened to me 2 weeks ago! I sold some wheels but the buyer never paid. I filed a dispute or some crap and I have to wait 2 more days until I can close the case and get a credit for the $100 ebay is charging me. I wont pay that shit no matter what. F### them.
