I can relate to that job. I used to do industrial scaffolding in the large Oilsands Upgraders here in Fort McMurray prior to my current career as a Heavy Equipment Tech. Although I never got to those kinds of heights I did do jobs at 300'-400' above grade.
Amazing video, thanks for sharing! |

I'm surprised that they're wearing jeans, I would have thought they'd want/need something that allows a wider range of motion.
I'm also surprised that the wind wasn't blasting them around up that high. Seems crazy to not have harnesses or at least something more substantial for them to connect their lines to. I understand the towers need to be light, but damn... have a care for the guys who have to climb them. |

I just thought about this today actually...anyone ever take notice of how physiologically trained we are to know how close to an acceptable bathroom we are? Was curious because I had a huge dinner last night, drank a bunch of coffee in the office this morning, and would normally have to take a major shit except that I had to leave before the coffee kicked in and didn't get back until early afternoon, at which point I took a shit. Never had to while I was out, though if I were in the office still I undoubtedly would have. CSB
