Need help with some philosophy...
JUST found out that on top of the 5600 words worth of papers I'm writing for this class that there's another paper with a minimum requirement of 2500 words that's due this wednesday. FML. I'm already slammed with work and three other bullshit classes.
So this final research paper can be on anything I want under the broad heading of philosophy. If anyone had some suggestions for ideas, that'd be awesome. I just need an idea or two that I can expand into 2500 words. Thanks in advance guys.

Write about Gettier problems in epistemology, critique other philosophers' solutions to Gettier problems (such as the Theory of Relevant Alternatives), and then offer your own solution to the Gettier problem.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gettier_problems the "cow in the field" example is a good way of illustrating Gettier problems Then I also did a paper a while ago about Descartes vs Hume. That's all I really remember from college

Compare and contrast the respective conceptualizations of the 'mind' by both psychology and buddhism. This should be interesting and relatively easy to find information on, e.g.:

Wow. That sounds like a fairly worthless assignment.
I would just write an essay entitled - "Is this 2500 word essay worthy of an A?" and then say why you deserve an A, or don't, or how it doesn't really matter what you get since the ultimate grade is totally subjective and dependent on the teacher's perspective, etc. |
