That looks so much better than what Ferrari did to convert their 458 to race spec.

You're right about that! I was disappointed to see it. For comparison:

You cant really compare the 458 to that McLaren. The McLaren is prepped for the GT Le Mans class, and that Ferrari is for the Ferrari Challenge series which is basically the street car stripped out and with some minor upgrades. The LM GT 458 that will come out later is a much more different beast, and I am sure it will look a lot more like that McLaren. For your reference, the 458 challenge costs about 250k-300k, the GT 458 will be about 1m+.

I was actually referring to the 458 GTC going into ALMS.

I'm still waiting for the final 458 to be shown in it's final body (those pics aren't it, especially the front end and wheels)

*sigh*

A consumer version of that car would make me cash in some stock.

Funny how good it looks even today, i bet they could have made this after they retired the NSX without much cost.

HSC is really something. I was disappointed to see it not being made. Even now I'd still love to see it. It has that supercar look.

Looks like they're looking for front end downforce. Judging by the size of the rear wing, they need all the downforce they can get on the front end.

The first pic looks really nice! I can't wait to see what it does in competition.
