What Car would you pick??
Well, I was planning on leasing a 335i coupe in the spring, but I don't
think that I'll be able to afford it. However I've been looking at two other cars. The new G35 sedan and the Lexus IS350... Haven't test drove either of them. I know they're both quick and priced reasonably.. My dad has a '05 G35x and I've driven it many times... The car drives nice but Infinit has that cheap interior feel, that won't get outa my head. Lexus makes awesome interiors.. Which car would u guys pick and why.. all comments are welcome..

If you were planning on a coupe, why are you looking at sedans? Go for the 328i coupe. IMHO, the E92 is in a different class than the other 2 cars you are considering.

Cut down on options, buy an E92 335 via Euro Delivery, and your lease rate would be the same as the other cars that you are considering.

An IS350 can get pretty up there in price. I'd pick the G35, but wait for the coupe if I could.
Sure, guys, the 328i is really nice, and "there's nothing like a bmw," but really, if its speed he's looking for, the G and the IS are light years ahead of the 328

I'd go for a E92 328i if I couldn't afford the 335i.
It's not all about 1/4 mile times. The driving experience of a BMW is much more than that.

you can get a 335i with metallic paint, zsp and CA for under under 40k after plane tix but before taxes... i would say that puts a 335i in the neighborhood of the G and IS. i would take a G over an IS because the IS, imho is more of a girly car. plus it has a virtually unusable back seat.

I know these cars are kind of in a different class, but if I wanted something cheaper I'd get an EVo or an STI. Anything less than the 335i is slower than what I drive now, and I couldn't justify trading into a slower car.
Out of those the G35 coupe 6M is a nice car, but will be replaced soon. |

Yeah that's true. I was just saying those are two cars that offer the performance of the 335i with the price of a base G35, so they might be worth considering. Don't get me wrong the 328i is an excellent choice. It's probably a much more sound investment than either the Evo or STI. I just assumed that since he wasn't considering it, but he was considering the G35 it was because the 328i wasn't quick enough for him.

I would get an is350...out of the g35 and is359..but never a 328i over is350 or g35. I really like hthe stlying of the IS and its smooth execution. road and track got 4.9 to 60 in the is350 jus about a month ago - thats impressive. And you wont have to pay for a bunch of extras too. just sport package and navi thats it and its basdically fully loaded. comes standard with a bunch of shit. Theres a e90 328i in our family and is350 and honestly the is350 is a much better car IMHO. Althouth if you want a manual tranny then go g35 or bmw coz for some reason IS doesnt come in MT.

new G35 sedan improved a lot compare to the older model.
you should check it out. performance wise, not much difference in my opinion lexus...full of luxurious features. i would go for 335 Sedan over any of those (of course) but G35 sedan over IS350 anyday. |

If cost is a primary factor, go for the G. It will be less than the IS350, but I would probably rather have an IS350 over a G35. Keep in mind that a stick doesn't come with the IS350.
