My Boy's New Toy

Immediately following the Aero Bumper & Side Skirt Retrofit on his M Coupe, I guess my son's passion for cars is still going on strong. Earlier this week I was informed of the news that he pulled the trigger on a new toy that will be delivered to the house in about week . I am not even finished with the installation of the other ongoing mods he has for his Coupe. He's keeping his pops busy .

Anyways, while he is still on deployment in Afghanistan, he insisted for me to drive his Lotus Exige S240 around to keep the fluids flowing and wheels round and rolling .

Yeah...even though I have my own Z roadster. I already get a kick out of coordinating his modding & driving his M Coupe. Nonetheless, I am excited to also cruise around in his Exige . BTW, my son is an Army Officer in support of a majority of the US civilan units, organizations and special forces units all over Southern Afghanistan. Thanks, for your appreciation of his service in the military . I am a proud father and always pray for his safe return.

Very cool ride. What is your sons job over there? I assume he is rather high ranking to afford the Lotus. Must be frustrating to be over there and have your cars sitting at home not able to drive them. I would go nuts. Although If I was younger I would most likely try to get into OCS and try for spec ops. I was to selfish and lazy when I was young enough to actually go for that. I have a couple of friends that are over there and are seals and Rangers. They love what they do. One was an Apache pilot but got out after his 10 years was up. He was actually shot in the leg through the fuselage by large caliber fire. I think it was actually shrapnel from the fuselage that hit him.

That's a tactless question. Look it up online.

I had a 2006 Exige and while it was fun to drive, the quirks of ownership start to wear on you pretty fast. One of the coolest car designs of the decade though.
