Ever gone 158 mph?

On two wheels?

I recorded this about a year ago. Call me crazy but I couldn't help myself. I wonder if my M Roadster can go this fast...

here's my 155 - i was on HWY 45 in between Dallas and Houston back about 5 years ago.

the 160 is on youtube, but i'm emberassed to show it - i was young and retarded. i was running a sprayed LS1 Z28.

the STi's 162 was not recorded and i have no documentation, and 148 in an SRT is easy as cake - the 6.1 screams up top.

158 on a naked bike like a speed triple would be rough . Fairings help a LOT at those speeds

Triumph Street Triple FTW. I've done just over 155 (according to the speedometer) on the Daytona 675.

Fastest I've done was the limited top speed of my 633CSi in Germany. ~149MPH. But it was legal there. I would get PO'd if someone made me slow down to 100. I miss those days.

I hit the speedlimiter on my 335i during European Delivery.
Hit 156 on my R6 several years ago on the tollroad. Did not intentionally go THAT fast.

These statements always crack me up. Mainly because I thought the same thing before I got a bike. after having a bike I'd rather hit a high top speed on a bike than in a car. I could hit 170 and get back to 80 on my bike in the same time it would take to hit 130 in the m3.

Those who don't ride would be surprised how much stability the gyroscopic forces of the wheels provide. I've seen my friend hit a semi tire that fell out of a good year pick up truck. He just popped over it like it was nothing. He was doing about 90. Had another friend hit a pallet laying in the road while doing 120. Both were scared shitless, but neither wrecked.

Oh yeah. Fastest on the bike was 178 on the speedo.... At the exit of a LONG sweeper turn.

Wasn't it Eddie Lawson who hit a hay bale at speed in the Daytona 200 and drove on? Amazing what a bike at at speed can handle.
