Video: Behind the creation of the BMW Vision ConnectedDrive

The star of the 2011 Geneva Autoshow for BMW was without a doubt the Vision ConnectedDrive concept roadster. Here is a new video of the making of the concept, which gives a very nice behind the scenes look at how all the members of the team work together in a small and tight environment, this video is well worth the watch!

The roadster is a two seat concept designed to highlight BMWs advancements in ConnectedDrive technologies offered by BMW, which will increasingly power every vehicle in the BMW range. These are highly driver focused technologies intent on bringing the utmost connectivity to the driver. The design study itself is not intended for production, only to highlight the underlying technology. However, without a doubt, many of the styling trends seen on this concept mirror those of the Vision EfficientDynamics and elements of the design are sure to make it into future production BMW vehicles.

what is the point of building any prototype? To try new things and set the trends for production models.
