This or that what should I buy

Hello, I'm new here and was planning on purchasing a new car. My last car was a 05 330i. Here is what i'm looking at I am heavily leaning towards a Z4m coupe i like the rarity and the way it looks, but I'm wandering should i spend the few extra thousand on a 07 over a 06? I have found 06's with around 20000 for around 26-29 thousand. But then the 07 is around 30 to 32000 for a car with more miles like around 30-40000 miles on it. The other cars i have found in my price range....under 35000 are the 08 335is for around low 20000. I found a 03 Porsche 911 C4S with 40000 for 29000, because its a 03 would that take away from the car? Has anyone had experiences with them. And lastly a 06 cayman S with 40000 miles on it for 26000. This will be my little quick daily driver. I'm in the army, single don't drive far to work at all. Don't drive that much except the occasional weekend out. So not worried about small space. I just wanted something nice when I come back from korea. My best friend/rival purchased a 04 corvette non z06. I just wanna kinda outshine him. Any input would be appreciated. Oh and I doubt I will be racing/tracking the car. Just want the mine is better then your's factor. Thanks for any input

06 or 07's make no difference on the e86m. 03 996's are not desirable to me in anyway, but I did have a 997, which I traded for my e85. If your into bragging rights and all out speed stay away from the euros. I'd get a c6 vette in that price range.

e86m or cayman s for me. maintenance and repairs are cheaper on the bmw though. drive them both and let that decide

Ya I agree I like the cayman S the thing i like about the 911 C4S where i'm from you don't see as many. Also I kinda like the itty bitty back seat to throw shit in. But the Z4m is gorgeous. I love the look the feel and the fact i hear its hella fast with the ESS supercharger. Then again i hear they have made a turbo for the Cayman n a Supercharger for the 911.

996 911 mehhh..Plenty of other cars I'd get before that the E46 M3 would be one of those. The M coupe is a special car ...pure driving pleasure. It's the rawest affordable car you'll get beside a Lotus. About I phone integration...never had an Ipod what's that anyways? Just listen to the car scream at 8000 rpm.

As Krnnerdboy mentioned, if you are looking for flat all out speed, go with a vet or the like. But, if you want a car that will turn heads, will be a blast every time you get behind the wheel, and have people asking "what is that" then go with the z4mc. Like you, I was thinking of a 335i for a long time, but after test driving one then the other, it was clear the z was the way to be. The z4mc is one of the best decisions I've ever made...you won't be disappointed.

Regarding price and year, the main reason I'd go with an 07 over an 06 is the warrantee factor. However, that is nearing a moot point unless you are thinking of a CPO. The 06 lacks an aux input (ipod integration), but can be put in with little trouble. I would go with a low milage vehicle that has a great mechanical history, and checks out well on pre purchase inspection vs a specific year.

Good luck, and have fun in your decision!

Ya I agree with that the z4m is a headturner . Its a gorgeous car and ur right it sounds great listening to the exhaust notes of the m . hopefully I can find one when I get back from korea in june. Only other thing that rivals it to me are a few cayman s that I found for between 25000 to 30000 but the z4mc will be my main choice. Just wish parts for euro cars were cheaperlol.

the only difference between the 06 and 07 is that the 07 came with an AUX input built it, however if you buy the 06 you can install your own AUX input where the ash tray is like how i did

Cayman all the way. Although, you really should be driving what feels like the best value to YOU not what your friends or what others might think.
