I plan to do some fishing, go karts & maybe Universal Studios. What other fun stuff should I look into? |

I live in Lauderhill, a 5 min drive from Coral Springs. There is MORE than enough to do in South Florida. What are you looking to do? How old are you and your GF?

There is nothing to do in Coral Springs. Go to Miami, Fort Lauderdale, WPB City Place, Las Olas, Atlantic Ave. Delray Beach. But Coral Springs is boring.

Going to South Beach/Miami tomorrow for the weekend for Ultra - any good places that I should definitely eat at (I'm on a budget - so I'm thinking hole in the wall type places that have great food, any recommendations?)

I figure I'd be some what helpful.
Universal Studios is about 3 hrs north in Central Florida so it's a bit of a drive. If your looking for more local places, you can get about anywhere in an hour at most from Coral Springs. Beach is always a good choice. All depends how old you and your girlfriend are, of course South Florida is known for the nightlife, assuming your 21 and older, South Beach late night is somewhere you should check out, that's mostly the club/bar scene. Seminole Hard Rock in Hollywood is a good spot as well, not too far from where you are staying. Large casino floor, poker room, blackjack tables, clubs, bars, and restaurants. Overall another must go. Las Olas in Ft. Lauderdale has acouple of clubs, bars, and resturants as well. Maybe if your into wildlife you can take a Everglades tour, but I've lived here all my life and I don't ever remembering going on one, maybe something on my things to do. There is Metro Zoo, Miami Seaquarium. If your into shopping, maybe your girlfriend is, there is Sawgrass Mills Mall, an outlet mall, a few miles south from Coral Springs. A lot of foreign tourist go there. More south east you have Aventura Mall, and to the south west is Dolphin Mall, if you feel like getting spoken spanish to. |
