Help Me Find A Maltipug!

Hey guys I've been searching Hi and Low and just can not find a place that sells, or a pound that has, or even a breeder that breeds Maltipugs. Its a hybrid dog between a Maltese and a Pug. If anyone get direct me to to someone that has these or breeds these dogs please let me know. I'm willing to adopt so please don't flame on me about buying a dog and not adopting one that needs a home.

LOL. I don't know much about the OP's breed, but I'm a fan of all dogs. I don't know if my Lab is masculine enough or not, but I love her. Pretty sure she digs me too.. almost as much as she loves fetching ducks outa the swamp.

Though, the face she makes when I miss is horrific, yet cute. I usually just laugh... haha. But, she's like, "Yo... this is what I do!!!!!"

OP, I Googled said breed....

If this is it, then... maybe consider another pup. I mean... yeah. Or, at least don't fall down any wells or shoot something that you want it to bring back to you.

Have you considered a tropical fish? Mine are very docile - don't be afraid.

Good luck!

I guess I can keep a German Shepard in my 1 bedroom apartment. I'm
Sure he won't mind being alone for 8 to 10 hours while I'm at work.

My fiancé already has a pug. I want a dog that I've chosen to take care of. Plus our pug has a few years left and I want one to always be there when she passes.

Here's a Maltipug

And another

Wolfhounds or nothing.

I'd actually really like to have a pair of these, but the fact that their life expectancy is only 6-8 years makes it kind of a drag.

There seems to be lots of information on the web about these dogs, however, it does not appear to be a popular breed. That fact alone may required time to locate one.

We are in the process of buying a Kerry Blue Terry, last year only 800 were registered, it too is not a very popular bread. We hit lucky, we called a number of breeders and was told about one which was having a litter in Feb, we got hold of her about a month before they were born and happen to be first in line. We will not get ours until the end of April and as it turned out there were a large number of people contacting this breeder for her puppies.

In the case of the Kerry Blue most of these dogs are show dogs so they tend to breed them during the winter which is the off season for showing them. The breeder told us some time people could wait as long as 2 yrs to get one since their are so few litters ever year.

Like I said we hit it lucky we only looked for a week before we found a litter which was not already spoken for. We had to travel 3 hours to where the breeder was even though we live in an area where there are a number of breeders.

Here are two breeders in CA

http://breederinfocenter.com/index.php?c=Malti-Pug

I would contact them and see if they know of other breeders, usually these people have a close network and they will tell you who has or will have puppies.

We also looked into adopting and found only two dogs which were at a rescue, however they both had issues as you would expect and they were older too.

For a small dog you can't go wrong with a JR. You can still retain some of that manly dignity when you walk 'em too.

Haha nice. I once saw a Boston/pug mix puppy, it was sooo cute! Oh and check out the shelters/rescue groups. You never know what you might find!

Whatever you get man just be careful who you get it from.

Some people are calling this a breed. A maltipug isn't considered a "breed", it's just a mutt. And don't get me wrong, im not saying this in a negative way.

Just consider that there are people out there who pass off these dogs as a unique "breed" to try and price gouge. For example, those so called labradoodles can go for upwards of 2500. Yes pure breeds are expensive (not 2500 expensive) but if the breeder is legit and competent, they may be worth the price; so there is some reason involved.

Not so much with the mutts though, most of the time its some dude who puts two random dogs together and charges outrageous amounts for the pups. I just hate it when some take advantage of people and dogs to make a little extra money.
